Pat brings more than 21 years of experience at the highest levels of football to the Ethos team. One of the Power Four’s longest-serving personnel executives, Pat leads our recruiting and scouting network and serves as a trusted resource for athletes navigating their football career. At Ethos, Pat helps clients evaluate scheme fit, development opportunities, roster situations, and coaching stability. His background inside major programs allows him to give athletes and families honest insight into how decisions today impact long-term success on the field and at the next level.
Before joining Ethos, Pat served as the first-ever General Manager of the University of North Carolina’s Athletic Department, where he helped develop and implement UNC’s revenue-sharing strategy and worked directly with sport-specific general managers. He also served three seasons as General Manager of UNC Football under Mack Brown. Prior to UNC, Pat was the General Manager of Georgia Tech Football for three seasons. During his tenure, Georgia Tech signed back-to-back nationally ranked recruiting classes, including a No. 24 class in 2020 (only the second Top 25 class in program history at the time) and a Top 20 class in 2021. The Yellow Jackets added 18 four- or five-star recruits and 13 of the 45 highest-ranked recruits in school history while he led personnel operations.
Pat’s experience spans some of the most respected programs in the country. He previously served as Assistant A.D. for Football and Director of Player Personnel at Auburn, working directly with Head Coach Gus Malzahn on roster construction and recruiting strategy. Before Auburn, he was Assistant A.D. for Recruiting at Arizona State, Director of Player Personnel at Texas, and spent six seasons (winning three NCAA National Championships) at Alabama in football operations, working with Head Coach Nick Saban. Pat began his career working under Coach Saban at LSU before joining the Miami Dolphins staff as both a defensive and offensive assistant.
Having worked exclusively with Power Four programs and NFL organizations throughout his career, Pat has evaluated thousands of prospects, built championship-level recruiting boards, and managed rosters at the highest level of college football. His experience gives Ethos clients a rare advantage: insight from someone who has been inside the rooms where scholarship, recruiting, and roster decisions are made.
